DFS Aviation welcomes Egypt’s NANSC delegation to Germany

- Langen, Germany.

DFS Aviation Services (DAS) recently welcomed a delegation from Egypt's National Air Navigation Services Company (NANSC) to its headquarters and training facilities in Langen, Germany, reaffirming the strong and growing cooperation between both organizations.

The visit provided an opportunity for representatives of NANSC and DAS to exchange expertise, discuss current developments in air traffic management (ATM), and explore opportunities for further collaboration. The delegation gained first-hand insights into the training and operational environment of DFS Aviation Services and DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung, including the DAS A² Academy and the ATC Center in Langen, where Egyptian ATM professionals are currently participating in specialized training programmes as part of the ongoing cooperation.

The partnership between DAS and NANSC was established to support the training and professional development of Egypt’s air navigation personnel through targeted training, knowledge transfer and the sharing of international best practices. Since the start of the partnership, ATM professionals from Egypt have participated in programmes covering areas such as Controller-Pilot Data Link Communications (CPDLC), SID/STAR familiarisation, and airspace procedure design and management.

Captain Ahab Mohey El-Din Azmy, Chairman of NANSC, highlighted the strength of the collaboration: "We highly value our cooperation with the DFS Group and the professional exchange it enables. Our visit to Germany reflects the strong relationship between our organizations and our shared commitment to advancing air navigation services through continuous learning and collaboration."

The visit also offered an opportunity to review the progress achieved to date and identify further areas for cooperation in training and professional knowledge exchange, in line with the evolving needs of the aviation industry.

The cooperation also reflects the longstanding relationship between Germany and Egypt. As one of Germany's key partner countries in development cooperation, Egypt continues to play an important role in bilateral initiatives across various sectors, including aviation.

„Strong partnerships are a key driver of progress in aviation. Our cooperation with NANSC demonstrates how organizations can benefit from sharing expertise and experience, and we are proud to contribute to the training and professional development of Egypt’s air navigation personnel”, said Arndt Schoenemann, CEO of the German air navigation service provider, DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung.

Andreas Pötzsch, Managing Director of DAS, welcomed the delegation: "We are delighted to host our partners from NANSC in Germany. Their visit underlines the trust and partnership that have developed between our organizations, and we look forward to continuing our successful cooperation."

The collaboration reflects the shared objective of both organizations to promote knowledge exchange, strengthen professional capabilities, and contribute to the safe and efficient development of air navigation services. Through their ongoing partnership, DAS and NANSC are fostering long-term cooperation in support of aviation training and expertise development.
