DWI supplies GRPS to Virgin Atlantic Airways
DWI is pleased to announce that its GNSS RAIM/RNP Prediction Service (GRPS) is to be supplied to Virgin Atlantic, based in the UK. Virgin Atlantic will be using the Web-based User Interface to calculate RAIM predictions for RNP Approach operations.
"The GRPS web service is ideal for an operator like Virgin Atlantic," said John Wilde, CEO at DW International. "With the geographic restriction of Augur, they have been able to seamlessly integrate the service into their existing operations whilst reducing workload."
We are pleased to be able to introduce the GRPS web service into our operations said Geoff Clark, Head of Flight Technical & Regulatory Affairs at Virgin Atlantic. It will enable us to provide the necessary pre-flight data in support of our use of RNP Approaches worldwide. The scalability of the system will help us to remain compliant with future regulatory requirements
