DWI supplies RAIM Predictions to Asiana Airlines

- Hook, UK

DWI is pleased to announce that Asiana Airlines, a major South Korean airline, will be using the GNSS RAIM/RNP Prediction Service Web-based User Interface (GRPS Web UI). Asiana Airlines will be using the GRPS Web UI to support its PBN operations, including Basic-RNP 1 as required for Hong Kong International Airport.

The web service provides a user-friendly interface allowing flight planners and dispatchers to perform pre-flight RAIM checks, store tail configurations, aerodromes, waypoints and entire routes to reduce workload and potential human error. Due to ease of use, a short classroom training course was all that was required for dispatchers to learn how to manage and operate the GRPS Web UI. Asiana Airlines will continue to receive support from the DWI dedicated support helpdesk.

“After a short training course, Asiana Airlines are now able to integrate the GRPS Web UI seamlessly into their operations,” said Charles Thornberry, Senior Consultant at DWI. “The GRPS Web UI will be a valuable tool for operations at Hong Kong International Airport and elsewhere.”

“Asiana Airlines is satisfied with DWI's GRPS Web UI and we are using it to check RAIM prediction for RNP 1 at HKG airport,” said Hea-seo Park, Flight Dispatcher at Asiana Airlines.

Kieran Conlon, Head of Operations & Support, instructs senior dispatchers from Asiana Airlines in the operation of the GRPS Web UI.
