EIZO Releases New Line of High-Bright Monitors for Air Traffic Control Towers

EIZO Technologies GmbH (EIZO) today introduced a new line of high-bright monitors to its Raptor series of visual display products for air traffic control.
Raptor RP19The first two monitors in this new line, the 19-inch Raptor RP19 and the 19.6-inch Raptor RP20, offer excellent readability of text and images in ATC towers even in the glare of the midday sun. In addition, both products are available in a wide array of customization options such as color, inputs, etc. to meet the specific needs of customers.

The Raptor RP19 comes with a 1280 x 1024 native resolution and 2000:1 contrast ratio. It is available in two versions with different maximum brightness figures 600 cd/m2 or 1000 cd/m2.
The Raptor RP20 has a 1600 x 1200 native resolution and comes with a maximum brightness of 800 cd/m2 and contrast ratio of 700:1.

The Raptor RP19 and Raptor RP20 are panel mount monitors for use in a desk console. For customers of EIZOs end-of-life 20.1-inch monitor, the Raptor RP20 is tailored to fit into the same console openings and can serve as a drop-in replacement.
Both monitors come with DVI-I and D-Sub inputs for compatibility with PCs equipped with digital and analog graphics boards. Composite video (CVBS) and S-Video inputs which support NTSC, PAL, and SECAM are also included for video surveillance and display of radar images.

Backlight stabilization function which compensates for fluctuations caused by the ambient temperature and the passage of time
CE and UL certification. EIZO is applying for CCC (China Compulsory Certification) for the panel mount version of both monitors, and will do so for the VESA mount version upon request.
