- Everett, Washington. USA.

Esterline Control & Communication has ramped up production of its latest Codis MDP-471/4 Main Display Monitor in support of the FAA Terminal Main Display Monitor replacement program. This new-generation 2048x2048 high-resolution display completed the Operational Testing and Evaluation phase of the program in January 2015.

"We're honored to continue our working relationship with the FAA by providing uninterrupted supply of the main radar display," said Kevin Moschetti, president of Esterline Controls & Communication Systems. "Esterline is committed to supporting the FAA's modernization needs with the full breadth of our company's capabilities for many years to come."

Esterline has supplied the FAA for over 15 years without interruption, with the main radar automation display supporting both ARTCC and TRACON modernization. This continuity is made possible through detailed product-life-cycle management that coordinates backward compatibility with state-of-the-art technology upgrades for stable, reliable solutions.

The Esterline Codis MDP-471/4 flat panel LCD display has become the world's leading square display for use in air-traffic-control automation systems. This 4-megapixel flat-panel main-radar display is fully compatible with the worldwide de facto air-traffic-control standard of a 20x20-inch format with 2048x2048 resolution. It is equipped with LED backlighting for long life and reduced power consumption.
