Mr. Eriksen most recently led EUROCONTROL’s contribution to the SESAR Joint Undertaking in the Airport domain.

With a tenure of 16 years at EUROCONTROL, Mr. Eriksen was responsible for EUROCONTROL’s airport research program, in particular the development of Collaborative Decision Making (CDM) and Total Airport Management (TAM), optimization of runway throughput, surface management and integration of the European airports into the Air Traffic Management (ATM) network.

We are delighted that Peter is joining Metron Aviation. His extensive experience in airport operations as well as network management and his commitment for concrete performance-based approach of airport challenges is a welcome addition to our dedicated team of experts,” said Alan Bloodgood, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Advanced Research and Engineering. “Peter will be responsible for supporting and further developing our European business opportunities and will also work in synergy with Airbus ProSky, our partner company. He is an important addition to Metron Aviation’s long heritage of rapidly turning emerging concepts into functional technologies that provide large benefits to airspace users.”

Mr. Peter Eriksen

I could not be happier to join the Metron Aviation team,” said Mr. Eriksen. “I’ve seen what the company has implemented globally and the benefits their solutions have provided to airspace users, airports and ANSPs. Their long standing heritage with the FAA and their leading position in NextGen implementation allows me to assist their already capable team with conceptualizing and developing capabilities to help not only optimize airport operations, but implement overall network improvements.”
