New leadership for the FABEC CEO board

- Langen, Germany.

The leadership of the FABEC CEO board will change at the turn of the year. Johan Decuyper, CEO of Belgocontrol, will take over the position of chairman currently held by Maurice Georges, CEO of DSNA, who will step down after five years in this position. Michiel van Dorst, CEO of LVNL will support Decuyper in his new role and assume the function of deputy chairman. The aim of this dual appointment is to ensure continuity in the face of the significantly intensified operational challenges and the preparations for the next reference period.

Johan Decuyper: I would like to thank Maurice Georges for his strong and continuous commitment to FABEC, and the CEO team for their support. Our common conviction is that we can only solve the current and future challenges together.

Maurice Georges: Johan Decuyper and Michiel van Dorst are assuming this important position in a strategic phase. In view of the unexpectedly strong and very volatile increase in demand, innovative solutions need to be implemented, particularly in the core area between the airports of Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Paris and London. Moreover, we need to approach the new reference period constructively and focus on the objectives of the Aviation Strategy.

Michiel van Dorst: I am delighted to have this trust placed in me and will do my utmost to support Johan Decuyper and my CEO colleagues. Our main priorities are the safety of air traffic and our socio-political mandate as the infrastructural backbone of air traffic and thus of the European economic system.
