First Russian ATC Centre to Receive COMSOFT Message Handling System
COMSOFT AIDA-NG has achieved site acceptance in Rostov-on-Don.
ROSTOV-ON-DON/RUSSIAN FEDERATION, May 2010 The Russian air navigation service provider FGUP AISS RTC has successfully conducted site acceptance tests of their new aeronautical messaging system supplied by German COMSOFT. The latest version of the well-established product line was deployed at the ATC Centre Rostov-on-Don, which is among the largest in the country, handling an average of 100 000 messages per day.
Their impressively smooth-running CIDIN/AFTN/AMHS installations have convinced a growing number of air navigation service providers around the globe which now benefit from their broad experience.
Since entering the market for Aeronautical Messaging Systems in 1993 COMSOFT has evolved to the worldwide recognised expert and market-leader in the field of AMHS.
Currently COMSOFTs landmark CIDIN/AFTN/AMHS system AIDA-NG is used as an AFTN/CIDIN switch and connects to the seven domestic locations Moscow, Khabarovsk, Yekaterinburg, Saint Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Irkutsk and Samara as well as to four international ones. In a later step - when neighbouring systems also support it - AIDA-NG will allow its users the seamless migration of AFTN towards the Basic and Extended AMHS Services, while simultaneously guaranteeing backward compatibility with existing AFTN based networks. For locally created messages the highly customisable product routes and processes messages written in Cyrillic alphabet, while the Latin alphabet is applied for international lines.
