FREQUENTIS hosts SESAR safety workshop

EUROCONTROL and Frequentis jointly coordinate SESAR workshop on applying Safety Reference Material

- Vienna, Austria

This workshop within the SESAR (Single European Sky ATM Research) programme, initiated by EUROCONTROL, the European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation, took place on the premises of Frequentis AG in Vienna (26-27 February).

Mr. Bardach, CEO of Frequentis AG, welcomed the international group of safety experts, from EUROCONTROL and other leading companies in the ATM world. The workshop, which focussed on the implementation of new safety assessment methods, was chaired jointly by Bruno Rabiller and Eric Perrin (both of EUROCONTROL).

Frequentis, member of the SESAR Joint Undertaking, actively contributes to shape the future European airspace. Safety has always been – and is – of utmost importance to Frequentis. The SESAR Work Package “Safety support and coordination function” aims to define the best safety practices, guidelines, tools, methods, models and techniques for future developments, as summarised in the so-called Safety Reference Material. Within the framework of this project Frequentis actively contributes to the definition of new international standards.
