FREQUENTIS modernises Budapest ATCC Voice Communication Systems

The world market leader for voice communication systems for air traffic control books another success. HungaroControl Pte. Ltd. Co. ordered Frequentis to renew the voice communication systems for Budapest ATCC.

Highly qualified staff control numerous flights every day at this important node in the European airspace. To guarantee smooth international air traffic coordination, a quick improvement of the infrastructure in place had become indispensable. Frequentis was able to convince with its international, long-standing know-how and developed, delivered and implemented its solution for the modernisation of the voice communication equipment at the Budapest ATCC. The new Frequentis system comprises the following components: a VCS 3020X (45 main positions) voice communication system, and an identical system with 15 positions, which serves as test and training equipment for air traffic controllers, a VCX-network node as telephone back-up, RES-Q as radio back-up, as well as a DIVOS recorder as legal voice recording system. Going with a Frequentis voice communication system of the latest generation, HungaroControl can rest assured to have purchased the best prerequisites for a future connection to individual IP-based communication components.
