FREQUENTIS systems go live at ACC Budapest

Frequentis recently passed the Site Acceptance Test (SAT) and has put the system into full operation with its new Release 6.0. The worlds market leader in voice communication systems for air traffic control is supplying HungaroControl with the full rage of voice communication solutions by Frequentis.
Frequentis signed the ACC Budapest contract with HungaroControl on 4th of April 2008. It is a great success for HungaroControl and Frequentis to announce the go live of this project within only 13 months. HungaroControl Hungarian Air Navigation Services Pte. Ltd. Co. has been providing air navigation services for the Hungarian airspace since 2002. Highly qualified staff control numerous flights every day at this important node in the European airspace. We are extremely happy to have Frequentis as our partner. It was a really professional and cooperative partnership and co-operation from the very beginning. The transition to the next system was extremely smooth and our controllers adapted to the new environment within a minimum time. Going with a Frequentis voice communication system of the latest generation, HungaroControl can rest assured to have invested in a future-proof solution, in particular looking ahead at SESAR and the forthcoming Single European Sky implications for the Central European region, said Mr. Gyula Hangyál, HungaroControl Chief Operating Officer. The new Frequentis system comprises the following components: a VCS 3020X (45 main positions) voice communication system, and an identical system with 15 positions, which serves as test and training equipment for air traffic controllers, a VCX-based CROBOCOM-compliant emergency telephone system, RES-Q as radio back-up, as well as a DIVOS loggerer for legal voice recording.
