FREQUENTIS Technology Modernises Argentinian Airspace − Easier, Safer and More Economical ATM Operations for DGCTA

- Vienna, Austria

Six towers and one Area Control Centre (ACC) in Argentina will be equipped with Frequentis’s market-leading voice communication and recording systems

Recently the Argentinean ANSP “Dirección General de Control de Tránsito Aéreo” (DGCTA) in cooperation with ICAO again selected Frequentis AG to modernise the ACC in Mendoza as well as the Air Traffic Control Towers in Salta, Mendoza, Bariloche, Iguazu, Ushuaia, and Calafate with new voice communication systems as well as recording systems.

Frequentis is and has always been one of the main drivers for today’s global IP-standards in Air Traffic Management. It is well understood that both systems are fully enabled to integrate any IP-based communication infrastructure based on EUROCAE standards. Argentina is one of the first Latin American customers who additionally benefits from the deep integration of voice communication and recording within one system. Not only operation, but also installation, training and maintenance will become easier, safer and more economical for DGCTA with these new systems. Furthermore all systems are equipped with remote maintenance applications which enable the customer to receive very quick remote support from Frequentis but also regular preventive system checks. 'Argentina became a pioneer by trusting in the world-leading and proven Frequentis solutions and is well prepared for upcoming technical and operational challenges such as IP-based ATM communication. Frequentis is very proud of the success of its nearly 15 years of cooperation with the Argentinean ANSP‘, says Gerd Gröbminger, Regional Sales Director of Frequentis.
