During the last decade the air traffic demand in South America’s largest country has grown by three hundred percent. In 2013 an amazing 107,8 million passengers were travelling in the Brazilian Airspace. This has a strong impact on the country’s air traffic infrastructure.

The Frequentis voice Conference Control Systems (CCS), implemented by Frequentis USA in cooperation with our local partner ATC Systems, is core to balancing demand with capacity in order to ensure the flights arrive on time and enabling fans to get to their games without delays. Just like the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Command Center in the United States, CGNA is relying on the Frequentis voice communication system. The CCS system is installed in Rio de Janeiro with a backup facility in  São José dos Campos. The CCS system is a highly available conferencing platform supporting more than 500 conference participants at a time and can host more than 500 conferences simultaneously in a high availability configuration.
