Polish PANSA deploys FREQUENTIS’ new IT-based voice communication system
Frequentis has successfully delivered its latest X10 voice communication system (VCS) for the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency (PANSA). Managing around 3,000 flights a day, PANSA serves one of the largest airspaces in Europe. The deployment marks a key milestone in the long-lasting collaboration between Frequentis and PANSA, reinforcing their mutual commitment to aviation safety and operational resilience in Polish airspace.
The next-generation IT-based X10 platform has enhanced PANSA’s capacity to manage air traffic across Poland. It enables PANSA to operate in a virtual centre environment, seamlessly interconnecting its air traffic control centres. The system features a total of 74 operational positions, 60 of which are allocated to active air traffic management and 14 to controller training.
“Our almost 30-year partnership with PANSA reflects a deep commitment to advancing aviation safety in Poland,” says Reinhard Grimm, Executive Vice President ATM at Frequentis. “This successful X10 deployment supports PANSA’s goals for resilience and overall efficiency based on a leading-edge technological environment.”
As a fully software-based voice communication system, the Frequentis X10 provides high operational agility and adaptability for modern air traffic management.
Its multi-redundancy design and built-in cybersecurity ensure continuous availability and resilience, while its open architecture allows flexible integration into existing and future IP network environments.
