From Far East to Far South COMSOFT Contracted to Supply RAPS-3 for Airways New Zealand

The German ATC expert has been selected by ANZ to provide their renowned radar data test and evaluation tool.
CHRISTCHURCH/NEW ZEALAND, April 2011 Airways New Zealand (ANZ), the air navigation service provider (ANSP) of New Zealand, has opted for COMSOFTs powerful and versatile ASTERIX test and reference tool RAPS-3. After the provision of two RAPS-3 tools on military-certified portable platform to the Japanese industry giant NEC in March 2010 followed by several further contracts in the United States, the Czech Republic, The Netherlands and Abu Dhabi, COMSOFT could recently welcome Airways New Zealand on its map of worldwide customers.
With just three months between contract award, installation and training on site, RAPS proves again its COTS characteristics to the advantage of COMSOFTs latest customer. The product will be used for refined simulation and analysis purposes in connection with classic and Mode-S radars as well as ADS-B and Multilateration (MLAT) systems.
RAPS is a versatile toolset for testing, analysis, validation, generation and simulation of surveillance data. As of 2011, the field of application has been further widened by a military version (MILRAPS), to address evolving needs in the defence sector as well.
