Further Success for Ubitech in Asia-Pacific with the Signing of an AMHS Contract with AASL of Sri Lanka
Ubitech has further proven itself as the AMHS supplier of choice in Asia-Pacific after signing a contract with Airport and Aviation Services [Sri Lanka] Limited. Ubitech was originally awarded the contract in 2007 after an open tender, but due to frivolous protests the results of the tender evaluation were revisited. After further review, AASL upheld the original results; that Ubitech offered the best AMHS solution available.
Ubitech was awarded the contract in 2007 after a fair tender process, explains Michael Hoodspith Vice-President Sales & Marketing, We were confident the results would be upheld this time because we believe head-to-head our Ubimex AMHS system is superior to any other.
The contract calls for the completion of the project in under six months which should be no problem for Ubitech who has plenty of experience deploying similar AMHS systems in less time. The maturity of the Ubimex AMHS system makes it easily adaptable and flexible to meet any unique customer requirements. The Ubimex is highly reliable having been field-proven in demanding environments where it exceeds performance requirements while ensuring business continuity and protecting against any data loss. Ubitech and its local partner in Sri Lanka, Cegetel Services Ltd., will coordinate together the project implementation from site survey, training, installation, acceptance testing, and commissioning to guarantee a smooth AFTN to AMHS transition for AASL.
The Ubimex will give AASL unique advantages not available from all other AMHS systems. Firstly, the Ubimex already supports the latest amendments to ICAO DOC 4444 for the new Flight Plan format. Secondly, the Ubimex utilizes powerful web-based technologies to deliver the feature-rich Ubimex Web User Agent to end-users through a common web-browser with no requirement for any local AMHS software installation. And lastly, the Ubimex and all its software was developed solely by Ubitech with no 3rd party software components. This means that Ubitech can support 100% of its AMHS software as opposed to our competitors who rely on 3rd party software vendors and cannot provide software support themselves.
