GAL ANS Selected as ICAO Regional Training Centre of Excellence

GAL ANS Training Centre has been selected by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) as an ICAO Regional Training Centre of Excellence (RTCE) in the authorized areas of Air Navigation Services.

GAL ANS Training Centre has been selected by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) as an ICAO Regional Training Centre of Excellence (RTCE) in the authorized areas of Air Navigation Services. GAL ANS Training Centre is part of GAL Air Navigation Services LLC (GAL ANS), a limited liability company registered and based in Abu Dhabi.

GAL ANS is focused on creating a balanced, expert workforce, specializing in Aerospace Services. GAL ANS was officially awarded this status by ICAO at the ATC Global Exhibition 2015 at Dubai World Training Centre, at a ceremony on OCT 06th 11.30 at GAL ANS Stand 6402. GAL ANS Chief Executive Officer, Brig. Gen. (R) Dr. Hassan Yousuf Al Awadhi received the official plague from ICAO on this occasion.

The plague was handed over by ICAO Regional Manager Middle East Region, Mr. Mohammed Al Khonji in the presence of His Excellency Saif Al Suwaidi Director General of the GCAA. GAL ANS Training Centre was established in 2009 to train civil and military Air Traffic Control personnel.

The Training Centre was approved by UAE GCAA as an Aviation Training Organization (ATO) in 2011 and is the only GCAA approved ATO for ANS training in the UAE The Training Centre Portfolio has since been expanded to include all Air Navigation Service training including Meteorology and Aeronautical Information Service.

ATC Training is carried out in a dedicated facility comprising 3 Aerodrome Control simulators and multiple hi-fi radar simulators. GAL ANS Training Centre has yearly more than 300 course participants on Initial, Continuation or Development training.
