Gatwick Airport and Casper collaborate on A-CDM Situational Awareness

- London, UK

Gatwick Airport and Casper have reached an agreement on the implementation and further development of Casper CDM situational awareness through a mutual beneficial partnership.

Casper CDM will be the solution for geographically-based situational awareness within the Airport Collaborative Decision Making (A-CDM) project at Gatwick and the airport will consult on the product development of Casper CDM, using its operational experience.

Gatwick’s ACDM55 project aims to increase operational capacity and reduce environmental impact simultaneously through the sharing of real-time information and objectives of all airport stakeholders.

“We wanted to have the Casper team on board because Casper’s A-CDM situational awareness solution Casper CDM has been operating reliably for more than one year at Schiphol Airport and Casper has proven to Gatwick it can reach complex objectives under challenging time constraints,” says Erik Einset, ACDM55 project leader.

“We are very proud that Gatwick chooses another Casper solution. Gatwick Airport is an excellent partner for the further enhancement and development of Casper CDM and we can benefit greatly from their operational experience,” says Heleen Erkamp CEO of Casper.

“Casper CDM looks fresh and intuitive, and will be a great benefit to our airport partners in driving for improved operations at Gatwick,” says Ian Chalk, Gatwick’s A-CDM implementation manager. “The cloud-based system runs very smoothly and we can expand it with various analysis modules to support our continuous pursuit for operational excellence.”
