Avinor Air Navigation Services, the biggest Air Navigation Service Provider in Norway, has reappointed Egis aviation, led by Helios, under a five-year framework contract for provision of consultancy and engineering services.
Helios will draw upon their safety, human performance and security expertise to help Avinor Air Navigation Services to deliver its capital investment programme of major operational and technical changes to the tower, approach and en-route services such as the introduction of the new iTEC ATM system and the deployment of their NINOX Remote Towers platform.
Anders Kirsebom, CEO of Avinor Air Navigation Services says: “We selected Helios because of their expertise in the ATM domains and their in-depth understanding of the Norwegian and wider EU environment. Our long-term partnership provides flexibility and depth of resource all within one organisation, which is what we were looking for.”
Cedric Barbier, Aviation Executive Director, Egis adds: “Avinor Air Navigation Services is a valued and long-term customer with an exciting portfolio of projects, operating many ATS units across Norway. Our team of specialists are committed to adding value across the entire project lifecycle in pursuit of Avinor’s long-term goals”.
Claire Davies, Helios CEO, concludes: “This new framework contract follows five years of working with Avinor Air Navigation Services in the safety and human performance domain. It gives us immense pleasure to be invited to continue our support for them and is a ringing endorsement of the work that has gone before.”
