ICC’s ATRAK-BS® Automated Flight Billing solution successfully passes FAT for Directorate General of Civil Aviation State of Kuwait

- East Grinstead, UK

Ifield Computer Consultancy Limited (ICC), part of the LAIC Group of companies, is delighted to announce that they have successfully passed the Factory Acceptance Test for their ATRAK-BS® Automated Flight Billing and Statistics systems for the Directorate General of Civil Aviation State of Kuwait (DGCA). The tests, which took a number of days to complete, were carried out with both the customer and prime contractor Indra Sistemas, S.A. All the tests were completed and acceptance was gained.
The ATRAK-BS system was selected by Indra, who serve as the prime contractor for the entire ATM project for Kuwait, after the completion of an extensive analysis and selection process that confirmed ICC’s system as the solution of choice in meeting DGCA’s specific and stringent requirements.

The ATRAK-BS system is the result of over 20 years of ICC’s experience, expertise and collaboration in the ATC/ATM environment working with ANSP’s, Airlines and Airport Authorities in the integration of Flight Billing Data, Finance and Accounting systems. Having originally developed “front-end” ATC systems ICC technicians fully understand the structure and anomalies of both Flight Data and Radar Data Processing, and the requirements of interfacing and interrogating this data with corresponding financial, accounting and management accounting systems.

ATRAK-BS has been designed from the ground up to integrate, validate, and process all relevant financial and technical parameters of flight traffic and ground services. ATRAK-BS gives ANSP’s a cost effective system that combines information from Flights, Customers and Fleets for automated invoice processing; generation of statistics and reports, and integration with finance systems. ATRAK-BS will provide DGCA with a complete flight billing solution leading to improved productivity and efficiency.

Mr George Parobek, CEO of ICC stated, "The award of this contract and the completion of the FAT, as a key milestone of the overall project, is a testament to the combination of efficiency and flexibility of the ATRAK-BS system in delivering accurate invoicing and significant reduction in the billing cycle, and the commitment of ICC and Indra working together to ensure the customer’s requirements are fully met”. “The flexible and comprehensive features of the ATRAK Billing system will ensure that DGCA have complete control over the billing and flight analysis process, and enable them to deliver a more cost effective and comprehensive service to their customers and partners alike”.
