Imtradex upgrade accessories for the headset program in the ATC sector with a new send button PTT-3

The specialists for hear-/ speech systems, Imtradex (www.imtradex.com), has with the PTT-33, added a new accessory in the headset range. The new transmitter button ensures fatigue-free working in safety-stressed environments. This is ideally suited for the unique needs to the technological means of communication, to the employees in the area of Air Traffic Control (ATC).

PTT-33 is an ergonomically designed, black PTT button and weighs only 41 grams. The housing is made of impact-resistant polystyrene meets the requirements of protection class IP43 and provides space for the electronic adjustment of the PTT-button to existing equipment technology. PTT stands short for Push-To-Talk and enables employees in air traffic control on a button to switch from receive to transmit, so to speak. The special features of PTT-33: The device is not only good in the hand, but has two buttons - one at the front and one on the top of the unit – one for operation by the index finger or one for the thumb. The 2 PTT-buttons can also be programmed for 2 different functions – after customer wish.

“In developing of the PTT-33, we have paid attention to details such as a flexible cable movement for a movement-intensive handling. That was a wish from our ATC clients, so that the PTT-button is easy to move, and the cable does not rant on the edge of the table” said Mathias Iser, Director of Technology at Imtradex.
