Naviair deploys SWIM Technical Infrastructure-solution developed by Insero Air Traffic Solutions

- Horsens, Denmark.

Naviair, the Danish Air Navigation Service Provider (ANSP), has successfully deployed a System Wide Information Management (SWIM)-compliant Technical Infrastructure (TI) including initial SWIM compliant services. The solution was developed in close collaboration with Insero Air Traffic Solutions (IATS), marking an important step toward meeting European standards for modern air traffic management.

A secure and scalable solution within the deadline
In a complex and still evolving SWIM framework, Naviair was faced with the challenge of finding a secure, scalable, and reliable SWIM-solution and to meet the SWIMcompliance deadlines in the end of December 2025. The Danish ANSP therefore teamed up with IATS, who has previously supplied Naviair with air traffic software solutions.

Naviair and IATS joined forces in a phased and agile co-creation project, which utilized the combined core competences, applying existing and proven technology wherever possible. The SWIM Services solution deployed by Naviair was built as part of the Insero AviSky data platform. During the project, the main focus was to ensure an agile and iterative process, where ‘build for scale’ in a secure environment was the guiding principle.

”The collaboration between IATS and Naviair has been centred on developing a solution that ensures regulatory compliance while upholding the highest standards of security. This is achieved in close and successful cooperation with the overarching objective of advancing the European data infrastructure, enabling us to share ATM data across Europe in a secure and efficient way.” Says Sten Bertram Winter, Head of Compliance, Cyber & Security Advisory at Naviair.

Key component to safer and more efficient air traffic
SWIM can be described as an intranet for air traffic. It ensures that critical information – such as flight plans and weather data – can be shared securely and efficiently between all stakeholders in aviation, creating a Digital European Sky. Therefore, SWIM is a key component to safer and more efficient air traffic across Europe and central to informed decision-making and meeting European regulatory requirements for modern air traffic management.

”We are pleased to be able to deliver another high-quality co-created product to Naviair, the Danish ANSP. A modern, scalable and reliable SWIM-solution is not only of importance to overall air traffic safety; shared up to date information will also support improved collaboration and decision-making, as well as more efficient and secure data exchange, enhancing overall efficiency,” says Steen Garnæs, Sales Director at Insero Air Traffic Solutions.
