Intelcan passes flight check in Ecuador

Intelcans NAVAID team has passed the Flight Check for the ILS system at New Quito International Airport in Quito, Ecuador. The Flight Check was performed by the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGAC) of Ecuador.

Located at Runway 36, the ILS fulfils Cat III precision approach capabilities. Due to the airport's approach clearance, the ILS will only be used for CAT-I precision approach capability.

As part of the contract for the upgrade of CNS/ATM systems in Quito, Intelcan has deployed a DVOR/DME System in addition to the ILS. The New Quito International Airport is scheduled to start operations in the fall of 2012.
