ITT to Showcase Next Generation Airport Operations Management System at ATC Global 2011

ITT Corporation will showcase its next generation airport operations management system and real-time air traffic surveillance and tracking data service for commercial customers at the ATC Global Exposition & Conference in Amsterdam.
The company will also conduct an Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) workshop during the conference, highlighting the benefits of the Surveillance as a Service business model.

For more than 65 years, ITT has been a trusted provider of mission critical products and services that support civil air navigation service providers (ANSPs) and defense organizations globally. ITT has fielded more than 1500 fixed, transportable, and mobile integrated radar solutions to 45 countries and provides comprehensive life cycle support services around the world.

ITT Launches Next Generation Airport Operations Management System

Many airports around the world struggle with the challenge of improving operational efficiency and maximizing revenue growth opportunities. Individual airport stakeholders often purchase separate solutions to meet these needs, duplicating data sources and applications. Without a common integrated flight track acquisition and application infrastructure, most airports lack the ability to make real-time decisions based on a complete view of their operations.

ITT recently launched its airport operations management system, Symphony, which provides airport stakeholders with one integrated solution that supports key business functions.

ITTs Symphony was specifically designed to help airports, airlines, and other airport stakeholders proactively manage routine operations and reduce IROPS by providing historic, real-time and predictive situational awareness of the airspace and airport surface.

The ITT aviation data service provides a trusted source of operational information that can be used to optimize the business operations of customers such as airlines, airport operators, and companies providing services tied to aviation operations. Commercial customers no longer need to implement and manage their own systems. ITT can provide gate-to-gate data services that are hosted in a state-of-the-art datacenter with 24x7x365 engineering support and complete network redundancy to ensure data availability. ITTs secure data transfer supports IATAs standard format for exchanging flight information AIDX.

ITT Hosts ADS-B Workshop at ATC Global

ITT will be conducting a workshop at ATC Global that will focus on large-scale deployments of ADS-B technology and real-time surveillance and tracking data services. This session will be especially beneficial to airport operators, airlines, air transportation officials, and other companies involved in aviation operations. The workshop will be held on Wednesday, March 9 from 2-5 p.m. at the Workshop Theatre, Hall 9.

Benefits of ITTs Surveillance as a Service include ease of:

  • Acquisition: Reduces the need for ANSPs to design specifications requirements, go through lengthy acquisition processes, etc.
  • Deployment: ITT can leverage existing commercial infrastructure to deploy services.
  • Maintenance: ITT provides system operations and maintenance.
ITT Radar Reconnaissance and Acoustic Business: Military Air Traffic Control Solutions
