In June 2009 LFV (Luftfartsverket) in Norrköping, Sweden, has acquired licenses for four PANS-OPS seats and has taken an option for a fifth license. The FPDAM product enables LFV to:
Design, check and maintain instrument and visual approach and departure flight procedures
Design and manage airspaces and airways
Manage aeronautical and terrain data
ICAO Annex 4 and 14 Surface Construction and Obstruction evaluation
The licenses include encoder software that translates the approved SSA-procedures into ARINC format and a diagnostic tool FPSAT that enables procedure designers to:
check how the FMS will fly the coded procedure by comparing the nominal trajectory and the simulated trajectory taking into account ARINC Path & Termination, type of aircraft using BADA files, kinematic constraints, weather conditions and visualization of geographic data
verify RNP parameters of GNSS (GPS, SBAS, GBAS) navigation along the trajectory
verify signal continuity, coverage and couples availability of DME/DME and GNSS navigation along the trajectory
diagnostic functionality and consequent results
IDS also received the order to create an ODBC connection between the LFV obstacle database and the FPDAM environment.
