Managed-AIS welcome new clients for eAIP training

Trainees from Jordan, Lithuania and Moldova came to Edinburgh, UK to attend eAIP software training with Managed-AIS (M-AIS). The two week course gave the three new users of the EAD eAIP production system an opportunity to learn about the features of the apsXML software.

After the conclusion of the course, the attendees received a short presentation on the softwares latest features and assistance available in migrating to the eAIP. The presentation was a summary of content from the EADs eAIP production working group, held in Dublin earlier in November.

The course included training in the structured FrameMaker interface as well as apsXMLs custom aeronautical tools. These tools include the insertion of AIXM data into eAIP documents and the ability to preview html and pdf for pages or documents at all stages of the production cycle. The trainees were joined in the second week by an attendee from Malta, whose AIP was converted to an eAIP by M-AIS in early 2010.

The all female course attendees were trained at M-AIS training facility in the heart of Edinburghs historic New Town world heritage site. Paul Wilbraham, M-AIS Senior Trainer with over twenty years training experience, led the course. The training was organised by GroupEAD, the official training provider for the European AIS Database (EAD).

Jordan, Lithuania and Moldova all joined as new users of the EAD eAIP system in 2010, bringing the number of organisations using the apsXML software to twenty.
