Mauritius selects Copperchase for AFTN SWITCH replacement

The project replaces current AFSWITCH which was also supplied by Copperchase Ltd in 1996. During the 12 years since commissioning in to service, the Copperchase AFSWITCH has provided DCA Mauritius with a reliable and accurate ATC Messaging service, thus underlying that, with good and prompt maintenance support; it has been possible to stretch the operational life of the AFSWITCH. The replacement Copperchase AFSWITCH has evolved and is a more streamlined product based on modern tried and tested technology and provides DCA MRU a cost effective and reliable system designed for use on the AFTN with the future capability to be upgraded to handle the Air Traffic Services Message Handling System (AMHS) and other private networks. Also included in the contract is an extensive training programme for Operators, Supervisors, Engineers and Technicians.
