Meet new management of Resource Training at ATC Global 2013

Resource Training, the largest independent training college of its kind in the UK accredited by the CAA, has appointed Adrian Leatherland as its new Director for Airspace Training and Services. He will join experienced air traffic controller Mr Alan Moss as its new Head of ATC Training. Visitors to ATC Global can meet the pair at stand R702.

The inimitable duo will propel the ATC Training course forward with modern training techniques and state of the art simulators to help the transition from learning to a workplace environment. Brand new to the college is a flight awareness training device that provides a unique experience for ATC students to teach flight deck and flight awareness, helping them to gain an understanding of the pilot’s workload.

Adrian Leatherland will be based at the college and his appointment highlights the commitment of parent company, Resource Group Limited to developing its training capability. He brings with him a wealth of experience gained over many years in industry. In addition to his responsibility for Resource Training and Resource UAS, Adrian serves on the main Management Board for Resource Group, the Board of the Midlands Aerospace Alliance and played a key role in the formation Resource Group’s Part 147 aircraft maintenance training company, LRTT.

Alan joins the college from NATS where he was Unit Training Manager, Watch Supervisor and CAA examiner. His career in ATC spans more than 25 years in both military and civilian environments. He spent time at Heathrow, West Drayton and Swanwick ATC centres within the busy London TMA airspace but also at units such as Farnborough, outside of controlled airspace.

Students to the college, which is based in South Wales, attend from all over the world and can study a variety of internationally renowned courses including Air Traffic Control for both military and civilian, Electronic Warfare and Aviation English Language.

Resource Training is a division of Resource Group, an international supplier of scarce skills to aerospace, aviation and defence sectors providing engineering, operational support, recruitment and training solutions.
