Metron Aviation Appoints Arie Herweijer Vice President, Sales and Business Development

Metron Aviation, a leading provider of Traffic Flow Management (TFM), today announced it has appointed Arie Herweijer Vice President of Sales and Business Development. Mr. Herweijer brings over 20 years of aviation sales and business development expertise in Air Traffic Management (ATM) and Collaborative Decision Making (CDM).

Among numerous career highlights, he built a successful sales and marketing operation throughout Asia, which resulted in numerous customer deployments with leading Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs) and aviation organizations. Arie is a highly respected and forward-thinking professional, and will be a tremendous asset to Metron Aviation and its customers as we grow and expand our product and service capabilities, said Dave Basil, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Commercial Products, Metron Aviation. Aries experience, combined with a dynamic understanding of the strategic challenges of Air Traffic Flow Management, position him well to apply Metron Aviations products to reduce delays, increase capacity, enhance safety and cut emissions for international customers. In addition to his knowledge of the Asian region, Mr. Herweijer has worked with aviation organizations and individuals throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa, to solve mission-critical traffic management challenges, with the right combination of products and services.
