Navcanada selects UFA's ATCOACH Air Traffic Control (ATC) Radar Simulator

UFA, INC., announced today that NAV CANADA has selected UFAs ATCoach and ATVoice ATC Radar Simulation products for installation at nine (9) sites in support of NAV CANADAs Controller Training program.
NAV CANADA will deploy the UFA ATCoach and ATVoice products to all seven (7) Canadian Area Control Centers (ACCs), the NAV CANADA Technical Support Center (TSC) in Ottawa and the NAV CANADA Training Center (NCTC) in Cornwall. The company wide deployment will include over three hundred (300) simulation positions fully equipped with UFAs ATVoice Voice Recognition and Response technology. UFAs ATCoach Radar Simulator will be used in both standalone mode and integrated with NAV CANADAs automation system, CAATS, to allow for all levels of training with a single simulation product suite. UFA has already completed delivery of eleven (11) ATC Tower Simulators based on the UFA ATTower and ATVoice products. UFAs state of the art ATC Training Simulators equipped with the industry leading ATVoice Voice Recognition and Response technology will allow NAV CANADA to achieve cost savings while improving and maintaining the highest level of Controller training. NAV CANDA will utilize the same simulation technology currently in use by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in the United States on both the En Route Automation Modernization (ERAM) and the Standard Terminal Automation Replacement System (STARS) programs, and by the Deutsche Flugsicherung (DFS) in Germany at their Training Center in Langen and all ACCs.
