PinSs procedures in New Zealand

ASAP s.r.o. and ‘Advanced Flight’ are in close cooperation to provide Pikes Point heliport with full services in all weather conditions

- Pezinok, Slovakia.

‘Advanced Flight’ is New Zealand's premier helicopter charter company. One of New Zealand's largest helicopter charter services ‘Advanced flight’ offers passenger transport by helicopters.

Operating from the award-winning heliport in Auckland, it serves the North Island's most exclusive lodges, retreats and golf courses, and offer bespoke excursions to some of the country's most outstanding locations. New Zealand is made to be seen from the air and the fleet of nine high-performance helicopters provide the ultimate way to enjoy it.

Recently ‘Advanced Flight’ could only fly when the pilot decided that the weather conditions were suitable to carry out the flight safely. Visibility was a limiting factor. Low cloud and widespread drizzle or rain could sometimes be a problem in deciding when to commence a flight resulting in delays and cancellations.

The work that ASAP s.r.o. has done has given the airport an instrument capability that will allow ‘Advanced flight’ to continue full services even in adverse weather conditions.

ASAP has designed RNAV Point in Space instrument procedures and two aeronautical charts (Easterly and Westerly direction) for Pikes Point heliport in New Zealand. A Standard Instrument Departure procedure (SID) and an aeronautical chart were created for this airport. All these charts will be published in the New Zealand Aeronautical Information Publication.
