Mexican ANSP, SENEAM continues to lead the way in cutting edge Aeronautical Information Management (AIM) standards and technologies by introducing a Thales TopSky-AIM AIXM 5.1 based AIM solution.
Following an open international competitive tender process which concluded on September 18, SENEAM renewed its confidence in Thales AIM systems by choosing the Thales TopSky-AIM, their latest generation of fully integrated Aeronautical Information Management System. As part of the contract, Thales will deliver SENEAM with the most advanced AIM standards including AIXM 5.1 and electronic AIP standard defined by Eurocontrol. This project will also enable SENEAM to comply with Block 0 of the ICAO ASBU and anticipates the efficient evolutions of Block 1.
The AIXM 5.1 Database perfectly integrates other core elements such as electronic AIP, Aeronautical Charting (AIP-GIS Charting®) and Procedure Design (Geotitan®). These are being delivered in partnership with CGX Aero, which pursues through this project a strong and long-term partnership with Thales in the AIM domain.
Commenting on the deal, Olivier Achard, Global Sales Director for Thales ATM said “Over our decades long relationship, Thales and SENEAM have developed a true symbiotic partnership, and this milestone is further testament to this. Our strength and depth in AIS/AIM in Latin America is a point of particular pride, with Mexico we add one more jewel in the crown of an already impressive portfolio of systems deployed across Chile, Ecuador and soon in Panama.”
Later this month, Thales and SENEAM will host the Thales User Group conference in Mexico, a unique event in the industry, where all ANSP users of Thales systems from around the world will come together to share best practice and get more out of their relationship with Thales.
