Congrats to SITTI for Cyber Security

- Milan, Italy.

SITTI participated in the eleventh edition of Cyber Eagle 2025, the Italian Air Force’s main annual cyber defence exercise, held at the Automated Information Systems Department (ReSIA).

The exercise took place over six months, involving a series of activities to assess and improve the cyber resilience of aeronautical information systems. Specifically, it involved various operational and logistics departments of the Air Force, verifying the cyber security of systems and services related to air traffic control and air navigation. Through the use of operational networks and services, it was possible to simulate critical situations in authentic conditions, thus assessing the various departments’ reactions (in terms of identification, mitigation, response, and recovery) to attack and threat scenarios and verifying the effectiveness of protective countermeasures, thus enabling the consolidation of operational procedures and capabilities.

The activities carried out included digital service compromise simulations, operational continuity checks on systems supporting flight operations, anomalous behaviour analysis, and coordinated event management through the Italian Air Force’s Security Operation Centre.

SITTI was involved in a major cyberattack simulation on its MTF800 Multifunctional System in operation at the Control Tower of 46^ Air Brigade in Pisa. The system demonstrated remarkable resilience to attack tests. The particularly positive outcome of the activity was illustrated during the presentation held at the end of the event.

Massimo Crovato, as CEO of SITTI, received official appreciation from the Commander of RESIA Col. Claudio Passalacqua, from the Military personnel present and in particular from the Chief of Staff of the Air Force (Lt. Gen. Antonio Conserva). The work accomplished and the important recognition received are a source of great satisfaction for SITTI and allow us to continue with a renewed proactive and proactive stance in the field of cyber security, a strategic and priority area for the Armed Forces.
