SITTI at Rancagua (Chile)

- Milan, Italy.

Chile is a country where SITTI is already at home. In fact, SITTI has recently supplied the Voice Communication System (VCS) to cover the needs of the national air navigation service provider, the Dirección General de Aeronáutica Civil (e.g. http://www.sitti.it/sitti-in-chile). The positive performance demonstrated by the recently supplied systems has paved the way for the expansion of SITTI’s presence in this South American country. SITTI has been awarded a new contract to supply a new VCS system at La Independencia Airport in Rancagua, located about 80 km south of the capital Santiago.

The system to be installed in Rancagua, although not a large system, includes a series of state-of-the-art interfaces with ED-137 VoIP support capable of acting as a gateway between analog and IP connections. The system will include radio channels that will increase the coverage and management of Santiago de Chile’s airspace, allowing, among other features, to manage the system remotely with security.

The system provided will be the M800IP® Multiphone since its modular and distributed architecture has the native capacity to expand seamlessly at any time over time without compromising ongoing operations. The implementation and operation of the system is part of numerous projects in South America that SITTI will complete by 2020.

SITTI is a leading manufacturer and supplier of VCS worldwide, capable of providing timely and state-of-the-art solutions to the Customer’s needs, both in the civil and military fields. The cutting-edge, redundant, non-blocking architecture of the MULTIFONO® M800IP® offers flexibility and modularity for easy expansion and the addition of more functionality.
