SITTI systems for Western India

The supply of VCS system to the Airport Authority of India (AAI) is proceeding according to the schedule. This important contract was awarded to SITTI in September 2019 (read here for more details), after a very competitive bidding process. It represents a big step towards the modernization of their Air Traffic Control infrastructure all over the country and one of the biggest successes for SITTI.

The contract is intended to serve 45 airports across the country, plus Civil Aviation Training College (CATC) and Specialized Maintenance Unit (SMU) with a large number of Voice Communication Systems (VCS) and Voice Recording Systems (VRS). The provision of the systems would have occurred in 5 lots. Two of them, covering the North-East and North region of India have already been shipped, and now it is the turn of the Western area:

  • 11 MAIN VCS Systems
  • 3 FALLBACK VCS Systems
  • 170 Controller Working Positions (CWP)
  • 22 Interfaces to Radio Remote Sites
  • 11 VRS Recording Systems

  • Bhavnagar
  • Bhopal
  • Indore
  • Mumbai ATC Complex (main+fallback)
  • Mumbai TWR
  • Nagpur (main+fallback system)
  • Rajkot
  • Surat
  • Vadodara

All systems supplied to AAI belong to the top performing MULTIFONO® M800IP® family, fully compliant to the international ED 137 VoIP standard for VoIP applications in the Air Traffic Control field.

The contract with SITTI is intended to serve 45 Indian airports across the country
