SITTI Upgrades Tower Operations at Pisa Air Base with MTF800 System
SITTI has successfully completed the modernization of the Tower operational room at Pisa Air Base, home to the 46th Air Brigade and Tuscany’s busiest airport, operating in both military and civil domains.
The project centered on the deployment of MTF800 integrated information terminals, enhancing situational awareness and operational efficiency. The Control Room upgrade included new motorized consoles, providing ergonomic and efficient working positions for tower operators.
In addition, the VRS800/AV recorder was integrated to ensure comprehensive audio, video, and event logging capabilities.
The Site Acceptance Test (SAT) was successfully completed in June 2025, confirming the system’s readiness for operational use. The upgraded Tower is scheduled to become fully operational by the end of 2025.
This project highlights SITTI’s continued commitment to delivering advanced, mission-critical solutions that support both military and civil air traffic control operations.
