SITTI VCS systems to Vietnam
VATM (Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation), the Vietnamese ANSP (Air Navigation Service Provider) is about to receive a couple of brand new VCS systems for their new ACC (Area Control Centre) in the city of Ho Chi Minh.
The main VCS (Voice Communication System) will allow 80 controllers to have full access to the radio and telephone communication facilities for the efficient and effective management and control of the air traffic flow over the South-East of Asia, over the South China Sea. A large number of VoIP radios (more than 200) will be interfaced to the main VCS, as well as about 150 telephone lines of different technology (analogue, digital, VoIP).
The backup VCS (Voice Communication System) has almost the same capabilities as the main one, thus allowing ATCOs (Air Traffic Control Operators) to get access to the same communication devices (radio links, telephone lines, intercom connections) available at the main VCS. 70 further Controller Working Positions (CWPs) are here envisaged.
On May 2, 2025, the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) has been carried out with positive result under the supervision of Giulio Panzeri, SITTI Program Manager, meeting the expectations of VATM. The positive conclusion of the FAT is further testified by the very welcome gift SITTI received by the Vietnamese staff, symbol of success for the good continuation of our relations and the project.
The provision of these new VCSs to Vietnam is the result of the long lasting positive relationship between VATM and SITTI. The extremely high reliability and flexibility of SITTI systems are among the reasons to this successful contribution by SITTI to the air traffic control in this utmost important area, allowing VATM to give its customers the best communication features available on the market and thus ensure full safety to their flights.
