Systems Interface replace Hawarden Airport ILS

Following a competitive tender in 2020, Systems Interface were awarded the contract to supply a new Instrument Landing System (ILS) at Hawarden Airport in the United Kingdom. The new ILS replaces the end-of-life equipment on Runway 04 and is part of an on-going development programme at Hawarden Airport.

Systems Interface Ltd (SIL) supplied, installed, and commissioned a NORMARC 7000 Series Two Frequency Dual Transmitter Localizer System, 12-Element Two Frequency Localizer Antenna system, Dual Frequency Glidepath System and M-Array Glidepath Antenna System.

All Civil Works and Project Management was provided by SIL. Despite Covid -19 Pandemic restrictions the completed project was delivered successfully on time and in budget and Hawarden now has a new fully serviceable ILS system to runway 04.
