Systems Interface to replace Instrument Landing System at Jersey Airport

Systems Interface, based in the UK, has been awarded a turnkey contract by Ports of Jersey to design, supply, install and commission a new Instrument Landing System (ILS) with Distance Measuring Equipment (DME) to replace Jersey Airport’s legacy ILS/DME on Runway 26.

Systems interface will install a Normarc 7000 series ILS consisting of a two Frequency Dual Transmitter Localizer (LOC) with a 12-element two frequency LOC Antenna system; a two-frequency dual transmitter Glide Path (GP) system and M-array GP antenna system, including monitor mast and a Normarc low Power 100W DME including antenna.

The ILS system will have full Remote Control and Monitoring and Remote Maintenance and Monitoring Systems.

Systems Interface will provide a complete project management service throughout the contract that includes engineering design, installation, commissioning, an onsite manufacturer’s training course and ground support for the ILS/DME flight check.

Project completion is scheduled for Q2 2023
