Systems Interface win Tunisian Civil Aviation and Airports Authority (OACA) Navaid tender

Systems Interface, based in the UK, has been awarded a contract by the Tunisian Civil Aviation and Airports Authority (OACA) to supply VOR’s (VHF Omnidirectional range) Beacons, DME’s (UHF Distance Measuring Equipment) and a DVOR (Doppler VHF Omnidirectional range) beacon following a competitive Tender.

Systems Interface will supply install and commission the En Route and Approach ground based Navaids, all with remote monitoring and control, at various locations throughout Tunisia as follows:

  • Conventional VOR with high power DME, counterpoise and equipment shelter at TunisCarthage International Airport and Touzer-Nafte International Airport. 
  • A high power DME at Sfax-Thyna International Airport 
  • En route DVOR at Kelibia with counterpoise and equipment shelter. Systems Interface will begin installation in early 2018.
