Thales awarded three new Air Traffic Management contracts in Colombia

Thales was awarded three new contracts to supply the Colombian Civil Aviation Authority with Air Traffic Management systems.
thales_logoFor the first  time in the country, Thales will also provide an Air Traffic Centre to be located in San Andres island, 720 kms North East  of the Colombian Atlantic Coast. In Cerro Verde, near Medellin, Thales will install, deploy and commission, STAR 2000/RSM 970 S co-mounted radars with a range of 200 nautical miles together with another RSM 970 S radar station in Flandes (South-West of Bogota).

We are keen to build on these successes to develop a longstanding relationship with the Aeronáutica Civil of Colombia.  

With more than 130 radars and 25 Air Traffic Centres already installed in Mexico, Santo Domingo, Colombia, Ecuador, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil, as well as navigation aids systems in operation in nearly all the countries of the region, Thales confirms its strong leadership in the broader Latin American region, where it has been present for more than 40 years.
