Thales to provide civil air navigation systems for Mexico

The Thales Instrumental Landing System (ILS) associated with Distance Measuring Equipment (DME) will provide safer landings and our VHF Omnidirectional Radio Range (VOR) and Distance Measuring Equipment (DME) will provide first class navigation equipment on various airports. These VOR/DME systems will be used for both en-route and terminal area guidance.

As part of this contract, our Local industrial partner company Amfar will ensure all necessary civil works, equipment installation, training and all other logistical activities. Production of the systems will be completed in the next couple of months at the Thales Milan (Gorgonzola) site in Italy and will be delivered to SENEAM early next year.

Thales was already selected in 2010 to supply 4 ILS/VOR and 7 VORDME systems to SENEAM and this new contract confirms SENEAMs confidence in Thales systems.
