TMD features advanced S-band solutions at ATC Global exhibition

TMD Technologies will be highlighting its innovative suite of S-band radar upgrades at the ATC Global exhibition in Amsterdam in March 2013. This upgrade package or complete turnkey S-band capability for commercial or military air traffic control provides enhanced features and user benefits.

TMD's extensive experience in the development and manufacture of high performance transmitters for aerospace applications, where space is at a premium, enabled the company to produce a safe, reliable and compact modular design.

This now supports an expanding ATC capability in the maturing development of a high-tech receiver/exciter and signal processor, together with a robust and maintainer-friendly Control and Monitoring system for equipment confidence and ease of maintenance.  A novel solution for mitigating the interference effects of wind farms is under development as an additional enhancement to augment this safe, reliable and flexible solution to S-band airport surveillance radar requirements.
