The Indonesian flight school STPI benefits from leading-edge AMHS and AIM technology for operator training.
The training institution Sekolah Tinggi Penerbangan of Indonesia (STPI) has incorporated further COMSOFT products, thus evolving as the leading training academy for air traffic operators and technical maintenance staff in the region. After the successful commissioning of COMSOFTs ATM automation solution in 2010, the flight school complemented the training environment with field proven equipment for the processing of flight plans and aeronautical data of all kind. The unrivalled AMHS/AFTN gateway AIDA-NG will allow trainees to experience the latest standards and procedures on the worldwide leading messaging system. The new AIM solution incorporates the most modern developments including an eAIP system according to EUROCONTROLs V2.0 specifications, as well as a data-driven charting solution based on newest GIS technology. The overall AIM system is based on COMSOFTs seminal AIXM 5.1 database technology and integrates advanced features for instructing trainees in future AIM technologies as stipulated in ICAOs Roadmap AIS to AIM.
The project further includes extensions to the existing radar simulator which enable STPI to simultaneously run separate training sessions on their modern Micro Nav BEST tower simulator and COMSOFTs ATM automation system PRISMA. All components have been tightly assimilated allowing STPI to create several integrated and real-world training situations.
The use of COMSOFT's leading-edge technology ensures that coming generations of trainees are able to encounter ideal training conditions a guarantee that the best-educated ATM staff will be available in the region.
