Ubitech Successfully Implements its Fourth NADIN Connection in the Caribbean for IDAC in the Dominican Republic

After months of preparation and vigorous testing, The Instituto Dominicano De Aviation Civil (IDAC) has accepted and issued a Site Acceptance Certification for Ubitechs Ubimex ATS Message Handling System (AMHS) installed in Las Americas Airport in Santo Domingo.
Official representatives from IDAC issued their acceptance after Ubitech demonstrated that the Ubimex AMHS system met all contract requirements. One of these vital requirements included interoperability testing between IDACs AMHS system and the FAA via the NADIN II connection. The successful test procedure involved the sending and receiving of live message traffic to/from IDACs AMHS system and the FAA comm. centre in Atlanta, Georgia. This marks Ubitechs fourth successful connection to the FAA and helps Ubitech maintain its market dominance in the Caribbean region as the only AMHS supplier to have its NADIN I, NADIN II, and NADIN IP interfaces approved by the FAA. When international NADIN IP connections are made available by the FAA, IDAC will benefit from having an AMHS system already capable of making this transition immediately. In addition to the acceptance testing, Ubitech was more than pleased to have assisted IDAC in their successful ICAO Safety Audit in January 2009. Ubitechs involvement in the audit was essential to demonstrate IDACs readiness for AMHS and commitment to strict compliance to ICAOs Standards and Recommended Practices. The successful team effort resulted in IDAC passing the audit and becoming a voting member of the ICAO council. The success of the project to date can be attributed to the tremendous cooperation and support between Ubitech, IDAC, Airport Team Solution, and Punta Cana Group. The implementation of the AMHS is the first nation-wide project ever undertaken by IDAC. All stages of the project including installation, training, and acceptance testing went flawlessly and according to schedule.
