Ubitech to Implement AMHS and AIM Systems for IDAC in the Dominican Republic

Ubitech has signed a contract to implement an ATS Message Handling System (AMHS) and Aeronautical Information Management (AIM) system for the Instituto Dominicano de Aviacion Civil (IDAC) in the Dominican Republic.
Ubitechs Ubimex AMHS brings IDAC into complete compliance with ICAOs standards and recommended practices for the migration of AFTN operations to AMHS. The Ubimex provides IDACs users with the full suite of extended ATS message services while maintaining compatibility to existing systems and networks that are based on AFTN technology. In addition, the Ubimex is being deployed with a NADIN II communications channel to facilitate direct connection to the FAAs datacenters. In the future, it is expected that this channel will be upgraded to support NADIN IP communications with the FTI. Ubitech is the only AMHS provider to have its NADIN II and NADIN IP interfaces approved by the FAA. Ubitech is also installing its Spatia AIM system to provide IDAC with the latest in aeronautical information management technologies. Spatia contains a common technology platform into which Spatia Modules can be plugged into to provide users with advanced tools for the management of the many diverse types of aeronautical information. IDACs Spatia deployment will contain the Dynamic AIS Module, eAIP Module, Aeronautical Charting Module, and Procedure Design Module. IDAC has recently become a voting member on the ICAO council and as such will be subject to a rigorous audit by ICAO inspectors. Ubitech is honored to be chosen as IDACs partner for their AMHS and AIM implementation which will form a major component of the audit. Upon the successful completion of the audit, it is expected that the systems will be expanded nationally to each airport throughout then country.
