UFA Air Traffic Control Simulators selected by Letourneau University's FAA College Training Initiative Program

UFA, INC., a leading provider of Air Traffic Control (ATC) simulation technologies, announced today that LeTourneau University (LETU) in Longview, Texas, has selected the ATTower, ATCoach, ATView, ATRadio and ATVoice products for its new, state-of-the-art radar and tower training facility.
The LETU School of Aeronautical Sciences is located at the new Paul and Betty Abbott Aviation Center at East Texas Regional Airport and is part of the Federal Aviation Administrations (FAA) College Training Initiative (CTI) program. LETU will acquire two ATTower 240-field-of-view tower training simulators with ATView high fidelity 3D graphics for photorealistic high definition out of the window views. LETU students will experience a real world airport environment with aircraft, ground vehicles, wild life, and weather simulated at a high level. For en route and approach radar training, LETU will implement a 10-position ATCoach radar simulator. The UFA ATRadio product will provide emulation of operational radio, telephony and intercom voice communications capability for the training environment. LETU will also use UFAs industry-leading ATVoice voice recognition and response technology for voice-automated simulation, allowing greater access to training assets and enforcing proper voice communications. With the acquisition of the UFA simulation products, LETU will offer training on the same products used by the FAA in its ERAM and STARS training programs. UFA products are also in extensive use by the U.S. military, other FAA-CTI schools such as University of North Dakota and Daniel Webster College, and international Air Navigation Service (ANS) providers such as EUROCONTROL, NAV CANADA, DGAC/DSNA France, LVNL Netherlands and DFS Germany.
