UFA ATCOACH and ATTOWER Air Traffic Control Simulators Accredited by the US Army

UFA, INC. announced that the UFA ATC simulators in use by the 2nd/130th Army National Guard Airfield Operations Battalion at Ft. Bragg have received formal accreditation by the US Army Directorate of Simulation for ATC Tower and Radar training.
With the accreditation of these simulators, Air Traffic Controllers will be able to count simulation hours towards their qualifications. The simulators were accredited using UFAs industry-leading ATVoice voice recognition and response product to allow Controllers to train without the need for support staff. UFA simulators have previously been accredited at the US Army Air Traffic Schoolhouse at Ft. Rucker, Alabama.

The ARNG AOB uses ATCoach to train on the operation of the AN/TPN-31 ATNAVICS radar set, remain proficient with their Controlling skills, and gain familiarity with deployment airport locations. ATCoach supports training of arrival and final operations presenting high fidelity simulation of the ATNAVICS surveillance and precision approach radar displays. ATTower provides local, flight data, and ground Controller training capabilities using photorealistic 3D visuals generated by UFAs ATView image generator and custom developed airport databases. ATTower also offers simulated weather & information displays, surveillance displays, and ETVS simulated VCS fully integrated with ATVoice.

The ARNG operates 29 ATCoach and ATTower simulators across the country. UFA supplies simulators to the US Army, US Air Force, US Navy, the FAA and numerous international airports and Air Traffic Service providers.
