Ultra Electronics Audiosoft wins Airservices Australia Contract

Airservices Australia, a government-owned corporation providing air navigation and aviation services across Australia have a new requirement to replace legacy voice recorders at 26 differing airport locations.
After a competitive tendering process, Ultra Electronics AudioSoft will now supply a total of over 1,600 individual recording channels across these sites during 2009. The recording solution will utilise high availability COTS based hardware, combined with AudioSofts proven software, providing powerful record and replay capability. Capturing all media types within one single networked system, the ATC recording system is totally independent, passively tapping into all recording interfaces. Prior to installation, the recording systems will be built and tested in Australia with ongoing local support available over the lifetime of the product. This prestigious contract award further underlines AudioSofts successful ATC recording product which is now used in over 40 countries around the globe. Alastair Hodgson, Airservices Australias General Manager, Technology and Asset Services, said, "We have just commenced the first stage of a major upgrade to our air traffic control towers across Australia which will see them fitted with the latest state-of-the-art high-tech equipment. We are pleased to have contracted Ultra Electronics AudioSoft to provide voice recorders for the project."
