US Navy receives UFA ATTOWER Air Traffic Control Simulator

UFA, INC. announced today that it completed installation and user training of the ATTower Tower Simulator at Naval Air Station (NAS) Joint Reserve Base (JRB) Fort Worth.
The 4th Marine Air Wing (MAW) Aviation Training Systems will operate the 5-channel HD LCD ATTower installation to support Air Traffic training needs. ATTower was delivered with a photorealistic 3D visual database of the NAS JRB Ft. Worth airport and includes support for UFAs industry leading ATVoice voice recognition and response capability.

ATTower supports training requirements and specialized operations needed by the Navy and Marines including formation flights, overhead breaks, and arrestor wire landings and has been adapted for some of the specific characteristics of traffic at NAS JRB Ft. Worth.

UFA customized automation displays for the NAS JRB Ft. Worth tower to provide a high fidelity suite of controller displays for weather, lighting and navaid controls, information displays, radar displays and ETVS radio controls that provides added realism to the training environment all housed in high quality professional Air Traffic consoles.

The system was delivered with the ATEditor exercise creation environment which is a fully integrated suite of tools that allows the facility staff to create and manage exercises for their training curriculum.

UFA supplies simulators to the US Army, US Air Force, US Navy, the FAA and numerous international airports and Air Traffic Service providers. The Ft. Worth installation is one of over twenty ATTower installations in use by the US Military.
